Levet Vineyards
Domaine Levet, located in Ampuis, in the prestigious Côte-Rôtie appellation, is a benchmark for lovers of powerful, elegant wines. Founded in 1929 by Christophe Chambeyron, the estate has evolved over the generations to become one of the Rhône region's most respected producers. Today, Agnès Levet, representing the fourth generation, continues the family tradition. She passionately cultivates 4.5 hectares of vines in Côte-Rôtie and 0.3 hectares in Condrieu. The vines, which are on average 45 years old, are mostly planted with Petite Serine, an ancient Syrah variety. Viticulture is carried out in an environmentally-friendly manner, with no use of herbicides and responsible farming practices, thus promoting biodiversity and soil health. Domaine Levet's reputation rests on the consistency and exceptional quality of its wines. They are appreciated for their perfect balance between power and finesse, as well as for their ageing potential. Agnès' traditional winemaking and ageing methods produce wines that capture the essence of the Côte-Rôtie terroir. The grapes are harvested by hand, and carefully selected to guarantee the highest quality. In the cellar, fermentations are carried out with indigenous yeasts, and the wine is aged in oak barrels, bringing complexity and depth to the wines. These wines are particularly prized by connoisseurs, and find their way onto the menus of the finest restaurants, both in France and abroad. Domaine Levet continues to distinguish itself by its commitment to excellence and respect for winemaking traditions, while integrating sustainable practices. As a result, Domaine Levet remains an icon of the Côte-Rôtie appellation, offering wines that seduce with their authenticity and unique character. Thanks to the passion and know-how of Agnès Levet, the estate continues to write its history, combining family heritage and innovation.
