Maison en Belles Lies
La Maison en Belles Lies is an emblematic Burgundy estate founded by Pierre Fenals, a passionate former stylist turned winemaker. Located in Saint-Aubin, in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, the estate covers around 4 hectares, spread over a number of prestigious appellations, including Bourgogne, Saint-Aubin, Santenay and Chassagne-Montrachet. The estate is farmed biodynamically, an approach that respects the earth and the vines. Pierre Fenals strives to promote biodiversity and soil life by strictly excluding herbicides, pesticides and synthetic inputs. The vines are worked by hand, with particular care for each plot, to ensure a pure and faithful expression of Burgundy terroirs. In the cellar, vinification is just as natural and respectful. Fermentations take place spontaneously using indigenous yeasts, and no sulfites are added during the process, to preserve the integrity and authenticity of the wine. The wines are then aged for long periods, often on lees, to develop their full complexity. They are neither fined nor filtered, guaranteeing exceptional aromatic richness and texture. Maison en Belles Lies wines are distinguished by their finesse and unique character, bearing the imprint of Burgundy terroir in every bottle. This committed, artisanal approach appeals to lovers of natural wines in search of authenticity and depth.
