Les Justices
Sophie and Clément Maire-Kurdziel are both oenologists graduated from Montpellier and have lived in the Loire Valley since 2011.
The history of the Les Justices estate began in 2018 when Sophie and Clément found a very old vine planted with Cabernet Franc in massal selection, in the heart of Rabelaisie and the Chinon appellation, at the place called " Les Justices "It was obvious to run the vineyard organically and to practice winemaking that respects the terroir, without additives .
In 2019, in addition to the Les Justices plot , they bought a few kilos of grapes in the heart of the Saumur Champigny appellation, in the place called " Boutifolle ". An atypical blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, aged 100% in 2-wine barrels, this new micro-cuvée - Petite Folle - stands out from traditional Loire wines. In 2020, in addition to their two micro-cuvées, they want to vinify a sparkling natural rosé - Justices Sauvages, a white Chenin on clay terroirs has Turquant flint - Juste, and a crisp red produced on limestone soils of Saint Cyr en Bourg – La Bamboche.
Vintages that we fell in love with! Sophie & Clément Maire-Kurdziel came to see us on the island of Oléron at the very beginning of their adventure and we loved the approach and enthusiasm of the estate, so much so that we offer their wines to local restaurateurs. Gourmet, crisp vintages, to taste very soon!
