Bernard Faurie
Bernard Faurie is a renowned winemaker in the Rhône Valley, representing the fourth generation of his family to cultivate vines in Hermitage. With 1.7 hectares of vines on the Bessards, Greffieux and Le Méal plots, he produces mainly Syrah red wines and a Marsanne white wine. Known for his traditional, natural methods, Bernard Faurie uses indigenous yeasts for fermentation and ages his wines in demi-muids for 18 to 24 months, minimizing the use of new oak barrels. He distinguishes himself by his ability to express the subtleties of each terroir through his wines, combining tradition, precision and respect for nature.
