Domaine Mosse

Domaine Mosse was founded in the late 1990s by Agnès and René Mosse in Saint-Lambert-du-Lattay , in the heart of the Loire Valley . The vineyard now covers 15 hectares spread between Saint-Lambert-du-Lattay , Beaulieu-sur-Layon and Savennières . In 2019 , their sons Sylvestre and Joseph Mosse took over, continuing the family history with the same high standards.
The vines have been cultivated organically since 1999 , a long-standing commitment that demonstrates their respect for life and natural balances. The plots are located in the Anjou Villages and Coteaux du Layon Villages appellation areas, and are home to emblematic grape varieties of the Loire Valley such as Chenin , Cabernet Franc , Grolleau gris , Grolleau noir , Côt and Gamay .
The work in the vineyards is central: living soils , careful observation of balances, constant desire to bring out the identity of the terroirs – in particular the schists , which give so much brilliance to their white wines . In the cellar, the philosophy remains the same: minimal intervention , natural fermentation , aging in barrels or tuns according to the needs of each vintage.
Domaine Mosse is today recognized for the depth and finesse of its natural white wines , made from Chenin , but also for its trading cuvées , launched in 2006. These allow them to explore other wine-growing horizons while remaining faithful to their requirement for artisanal winemaking . Among the flagship cuvées, we find Le Rouchefer , a full-bodied and vibrant Chenin , carried by the minerality of the schist , or Bisou , a light and thirst-quenching cuvée made from a blend of white and red grape varieties , vinified separately in short semi-carbonic maceration . A wine that is at once delicious , juicy and full of freshness .
