Tregole Farm

In 2014, Sophie Conte took over the management of Fattoria Tregole, a family-run vineyard located 520 meters above sea level in Chianti Classico, Tuscany, Italy. The estate, which has been in operation since 1003, benefits from the highest altitude in the region, ideal for viticulture. Sophie undertook the restoration of the 50-year-old vines for Gran Selezione, an emblematic wine, and innovated with Toscana Bianco, a white wine made from young vines planted on slate soil. Under his direction, Fattoria Tregole blends tradition and modernity to produce top-quality wines. Vinification is carried out in the traditional way, with particular attention paid to each stage. The wines are fermented with indigenous yeasts, preserving the unique character of the terroir. They are then aged in oak barrels, giving them exceptional complexity and depth. The red wines produced by Sophie Conte are designed to age, but are also accessible now, offering a rich taste experience. Restoring old vines and innovating with new plantings testify to Sophie Conte's commitment to quality and excellence. Her efforts have revitalized the estate and strengthened Fattoria Tregole's reputation as a producer of exceptional wines. The estate, with its thousand-year-old history, continues to thrive under Sophie's visionary leadership. In short, Sophie Conte has transformed Fattoria Tregole into a model of sustainable, high-quality viticulture. Her red and white wines, made from restored vines and new plantings, are a perfect blend of tradition and innovation. Thanks to hard work and a passion for viticulture, Fattoria Tregole continues to produce wines that appeal to wine lovers the world over, while respecting the rich traditions of Tuscany.
