Didier Grappe

Didier Grappe is a talented winemaker based in Saint-Lothain, Jura. He is renowned for his commitment to natural and organic viticulture, producing wines without inputs or filtration, unless absolutely necessary to guarantee the purity of the wines. The estate covers around 3.8 hectares, where he cultivates typical Jura grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Savagnin and Trousseau. Didier began his winegrowing career after retraining, and has since developed an approach that respects the natural balance of soil and vines. His wines are often described as pure, vibrant and a faithful reflection of their terroir. In the cellar, he uses minimalist techniques to allow the indigenous yeasts to work naturally, and carries out regular analyses to monitor the fermentation process. Notable cuvées include Savagnin Ouillé and Vin Jaune, renowned for their complexity and great ageing potential. Didier Grappe is considered one of the region's most discreet yet talented winemakers, appreciated for his authentic wines and his dedication to sustainable viticultural practices.
