Valfaccenda

Valfaccenda, run by Luca Faccenda and his wife Carolina Roggero, is a winery located in the heart of the Roero appellation, in Italy's Piedmont region. Founded in 2010, the estate is dedicated to promoting the region's traditional grape varieties, mainly Nebbiolo and Arneis. Luca and Carolina cultivate around five hectares of vines, spread over several parcels, including renowned crus such as Valmaggiore, according to the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture. The Valfaccenda vineyards are characterized by sandy, chalky soils and steep slopes, making mechanization impossible and requiring intensive manual labor. In the cellar, Luca Faccenda adopts a traditional, low-intervention approach, using indigenous yeasts and avoiding filtrations and excessive additions of sulfur. Vinification includes long macerations, and the wine is aged in cement vats and old barrels, allowing the grapes to express themselves in a pure and authentic way. Valfaccenda stands out for its commitment to sustainable viticulture and a winemaking philosophy that favors the faithful expression of terroir. The wines produced here reflect a true passion for nature and respect for winemaking traditions. Thanks to their dedication and meticulous approach, Luca and Carolina succeed in capturing the very essence of Roero in every bottle. This estate is considered a shining example of the Roero renaissance, standing proudly alongside the great vineyards of neighboring Langhe. Their hard work and respect for the terroir have quickly made Valfaccenda a respected name in the wine world. Valfaccenda cuvées are appreciated for their depth, complexity and ability to faithfully reflect the unique characteristics of their terroirs, contributing to the growing reputation of this exceptional wine region.
