Cyril Courvoisier
Domaine Cyril Courvoisier is a winery located in Cornas, in the Rhône Valley, in the Ardèche region of France. Created by Cyril Courvoisier, the estate extends over parcels in the Cornas, Saint-Péray and Saint-Joseph appellations, nestled on the steep slopes and restored terraces of the region. Cyril Courvoisier, passionate about viticulture, has rehabilitated vineyards abandoned for almost a century, rebuilding dry-stone walls and re-planting traditional grape varieties such as Syrah for the reds, and Marsanne and Roussanne for the whites. The estate is farmed according to the principles of organic agriculture, with particular attention paid to carbon footprint and biodiversity. The domaine's wines are renowned for their elegance and finesse, benefiting from aging in oak barrels for 12 to 18 months for the reds, giving them complexity and depth. Emblematic cuvées include Cornas, with spicy, peppery notes, and Saint-Péray, offering freshness and minerality. The domaine is also committed to sustainable, environmentally-friendly practices, with a philosophy of minimizing inputs and preserving the natural quality of the terroir.
