Marco Ferrari is a talented winemaker who produces remarkable alpine wines in the vertiginous vineyards of Valtellina, Lombardy. Before founding his own estate in 2019, Marco gained a wealth of experience with renowned winemakers such as AR.PE.PE and in the northern Rhône Valley with renowned winemakers such as Pierre Gonon and Thierry Allemand. Marco Ferrari's estate is situated on steep stone terraces, ideal for growing Nebbiolo, the region's emblematic grape variety. He practices organic viticulture and works entirely by hand, respecting both nature and tradition. In the cellar, Marco Ferrari adopts a traditional, low-intervention approach, using indigenous yeasts and aging in used wood to preserve the aromas of his wines. Marco cultivates almost two hectares of vines, notably on the renowned Inferno and Sassella crus. These parcels are renowned for their mineral-rich soils and ideal exposure, enabling the production of high-quality grapes. Marco's wines are distinguished by their floral precision and minerality, typical characteristics of Valtellina Nebbiolo.
