Domaine Derain

Domaine Derain , founded by Dominique Derain, is a pillar of natural wine in Burgundy. For over 30 years, Dominique and his wife have cultivated a 6-hectare estate in Saint-Aubin , practicing biodynamics with passion. Their philosophy: minimal intervention in the vineyards and cellar, using horn manure, silica and other natural preparations to express the terroir with purity.

Domaine Derain wines, famous for their authenticity and freshness, have left their mark on the world of natural wine . Vintages such as Plante Chassey and La Combe have become benchmarks, appreciated for their faithful expression of the terroir and their finesse.
Since late 2016, Julien Altaber of Maison Sextant has taken over the estate with Carole Schwab, continuing Dominique's legacy. Under their leadership, the estate continues to produce wines without artifice, bringing together the parcels under the Domaine Derain banner to offer free and authentic Saint-Aubin , Pommard and other Burgundies . Domaine Derain remains a name synonymous with exceptional wines, faithful to the biodynamic tradition and the freshness of the fruit, while looking to the future with a new, passionate generation.
