Marthe Henry
Marthe Henry began her first Parisian career in journalism. Granddaughter of Pierre Boillot , she ended up being caught up by her origins and joined the family village of Meursault in 2017. She trained at the Beaune wine school , then at the Rougeot estate in Meursault. She finally started her business in 2017 with a few pieces of Bourgogne Blanc and Meursault . In 2023, she took over part of the family vines.
Marthe Henry is a follower of simple and unadorned winemaking . The wines ferment Naturally , it limits interventions but does not prohibit itself from rectifying what needs to be corrected.
The vinifications are done without sulfur, the wines are very little filtered before bottling. The aging is long, at least 18 months , and is done in oak barrel most of the time.
Marthe likes to take the time to do things well, and this partly explains the interest generated by her wines today.
