👨🏼‍🌾Champagne made by Charlotte and Jérôme Bourgeois-Diaz ( Domaine Bourgeois-Diaz ).

Blend of old Pinot Meunier vines aged around 60 years on clay-silt soils, giving it freshness and flavor. Elegant scents of bergamot nuance this vintage, which is certainly the most straightforward. A frank, heady taste that maintains harmony.

Born in 1977, Jérôme Bourgeois-Diaz is the worthy representative of the fourth generation of winegrowers on his father's side. And since tradition is in his blood, he felt the need to surpass it. His maternal Spanish origins pushed him to embark on a different path from that of his colleagues. His wife Charlotte, joined the estate in 2016, and today plays an important role, supervising the estate, and helping to develop the quality of the Champagnes. “Of our 6.80 hectares of vines, 3.5 hectares are planted with Pinot Meunier, 2 with Pinot Noir and 1.3 with Chardonnay. Our vines are 40 years old on average, and draw their vitality from their clay and chalky soils.” Pesticide-free since 2009 and certified organic and biodynamic since 2014, Jérôme's mantra is to let the wine express itself at its own pace. At the estate, nature is at its helm, and Jérôme wants to be at its service. He thus willingly accepts the vacillations of the seasons, he gradually learns humility. Champagne Bourgeois Diaz has produced six champagnes and a red wine on the Champagne hillside since 2018. The majority of champagnes age between two and three years in the bottle, the vintage more than five years. We obviously find the classic blends in BD3C, the different blanc de noirs (BDN) and blanc de meuniers (BDM. A blanc de blancs with BDB. But also rarer and more confidential expressions of exceptional vintages such as in Les Justice and Les Bien Aimées.

Who are we ?

Created in 2010, Vinograf was taken over in July 2024 by Clara & Baptiste. With their experience with Marée Haute, they work to perpetuate Vinograf's strong commitments: a careful selection of established or novice artisan winemakers, all driven by the concern for excellence in their practices, in the magnification of terroirs and the search for authenticity of taste.

Several specifications correspond to these names. If we very often hear about sulphites, rightly accused of giving a headache, many other products can be used in the composition of so-called conventional wines.
Here is an overview of the different organic, biodynamic and natural specifications:
The organic specifications (AB label) prohibit any use of synthetic chemicals in the vineyards and in the winery. However, it allows some oenological crutches during winemaking. Sulfites, for example, are tolerated up to 100 mg/L for red wines and 150 mg/L for whites.

In biodynamics (Demeter or Biodyvin label), the winemaker not only works without synthetic chemicals, but also takes into account the lunar calendar for all the operations he carries out. He will also use biodynamic preparations (fermented horn dung, silica, plant herbal tea, etc.) to strengthen the vines. Overall, the winegrower seeks to include the cultivation of the vine in a global environment. Sulphites can go up to 70 mg/L for reds and 90 mg/L for whites.

In natural wine (Vin Method Nature label), the specifications specify the use of organic grapes, fermenting naturally using native yeasts (as in biodynamics). Natural wines see no input during all vinification and aging. Only minimum doses of SO2 are permitted (30 mg/L maximum), and must be mentioned by the winemaker. No brutal filtration or wine alteration techniques are permitted. We also find the name SAINS Wines which aims to completely prohibit the use of sulphites.

We strive to offer you wines from artisan wines, from estates on a human scale and often family-owned. And that's why we take the time to travel across France from vineyard to vineyard in search of these natural wines that thrill us.
We are particularly keen to introduce you to the new winegrowers of tomorrow who work tirelessly to offer us magnificent wines.
We want to highlight them, and allow them to have greater, clearer visibility and wish to accompany them to you!
